Dom O'Grady is becoming a house hold name here in the state of Michigan!

A lifelong martial artist starting training at the early age of 6 in TKD (Tae Kwon Do) then moving on to wrestling, boxing and judo which he holds a 1st degree black belt in under Mark Tripp & Igor Yakimov.

Dom broke out on the Michigan mma fight scene in the early 2000's fighting on the amateur level, competing in gi & no gi submission tournaments as well as combat sambo. Winning many competitions most notable wins where the Canadian open in 2004 in gi and no gi, also that same year making the U.S Sambo team and winning the Swiss Combat Sambo Championships!

His amateur mma career is by far the best run in Michigan thus far boosting a record of 28-2-1. Fighting in many reputable promotions such as King of the Cage, Michigan Fight League, Extreme Challenge and ICE (International Combat Events) in Ohio where he held the welter weight championship for 2 years. Did I forget to mention when Dominic started he was a heavyweight! As his training and skill advanced so did his weight loss. Starting his amateur fight career as a heavy weight to light heavyweight, middle weight and finishing his amateur career as a welter weight champion!

Dom decided after a two a year winning streak and holding his undisputed ICE championship it was time for manager (Monte Cox) to take him pro!

Now Rolling with a fantastic Pro record of 10-2 and recently Capturing the Light Weight (155lbs) King of the Cage World Championship with a 2nd round arm bar win over Dave Shepherd things just keep getting better for Dominic!

Born and Raised in Detroit Michigan this up and coming mma superstar is now taking over the pro ranks!

Dominic trains in Clinton Township at the SDAM (Self Defense Academies of Michigan) 42308 Hayes rd. At the SDAM gym he has a whole roster of studs on his H8 Squad Fight Team. A smaller gym but packed with everything you need to become the best you can be! Wrestling mats, speed, double & heavy bags, lifting equipment. Also training partners like Dom, Brendan Seguin, Sean Baker, Mitch Filer, Kris Lucsh, Billy Ward, Billy Garrison and many more!

Defiantly one of the premier fight teams in metro Detroit.

Dom is Training hard for his next three upcoming fights for King of the Cage on July 31st, Sept 11thand Dec 3rd at the Joe Louis arena in Detroit.
